$15 Challenge: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner In ABQ Everyday For A Week

When it comes to dining, the adage 'you get what you pay for' often holds true. However, for those of us in Albuquerque with a tight budget and uncompromising taste, this is a premise that we simply cannot accept. Thankfully our fair city is full of delicious yet affordable menu items. 

In fact, you can eat well all week (by week I mean a business week of Monday-Friday) in Albuquerque on just $15 per day! Here's how: 


Breakfast: Treat yourself with one of Frontier's epic sweet rolls! At $1.85, you will certainly get your money’s worth. 

Lunch: Find your way to in to one of the many Dion's locations throughout Albuquerque and chow down on a $5.65 sub sandwich (including a side). 

Dinner: There’s almost always a Blake's Lotaburger nearby and you deserve a green chili cheeseburger dang it. The LOTA Combo is just $6.62.


Breakfast: Follow your nose to Golden Crown Panaderia and devour a delicious sweet potato empanada. At $2.75, it will taste extra sweet. 

Lunch: Don't be deterred by it's convenience store look, stop in at Café Istanbul for a delicious $4.99 gyro. 

Dinner: Embrace your hunger and El Modelo's infamous tamales by ordering the $6.95 Tamale Plate.


Breakfast: Make it a 'latte for breakfast' kind of morning without depriving yourself of protein. Enjoy a Maple Bacon latte (with real bacon pieces!) from Michael Thomas Coffee Roasters for $4.60. 

Lunch: Get your hands on one of Banh Mi Coda's crowd pleasing Banh Mi sandwiches. Your expectations for a $4.95 sandwich will be exceeded. 

Dinner: Celebrate the Breaking Bad fan in you by visiting the Dog House Drive In. There you can enjoy a chili cheese dog and tots for a mere $4.09! 


Breakfast: Snag one of Golden Pride’s acclaimed breakfast burritos for the low price of $2.79. 

Lunch: Make lunch time Taqueria Mexico time and order the Shrimp Ceviche Tostada for $4.25. 

Dinner: Head to Annapurna’s World Vegetarian Café and go with the healthy and flavorful Yogi Bowl for only $7.95.     


Breakfast: Swing by your local Donut Mart for the classic donut and coffee breakfast combination. At $2.32, it’s a rather budget friendly meal. 

Lunch: Hurry over to El Paisa for some of the best tacos in town. At $1.17 each, you can afford three, bringing your total to just $3.51. 

Dinner: Heat things up with the Bun Ga Xao Xa Ot (aka B3) entrée at Saigon Far East. Your delicious meal will feel like a steal at only $6.50!
