I was born in 1986. I was a child of the early '90s and had tons of 1980s influences around me. Movies, music, pop culture — I was all about it. Now I get to experience it up close.
This weekend I get to see (and hopefully meet) some of my biggest childhood stars, and it's all thanks to ABQ Comic Con. Here are 10 actors who make my 10-year-old self-squeal with joy.
If you went to high school in Albuquerque, then you already know what I'm about to tell you.
This time with our #APS coverage, we're looking at five rivalry high schools and our pick for winner when it comes down to it all. What are we looking for? We're factoring in street cred, celebrity alums and general badassery. And historical factors, just for good measure.
If you survived the snow from this morning and plan on getting out tonight, we've got a couple of things we totally recommend doing, plus some others throughout the weekend. Let's kick off 2017 in a great way Albuquerque!
If you don't know this by now, I'm a transplant. I've lived in ABQ for less than a year and originally hail from Louisiana.
While I've come to love (even more) the traditional New Mexican flavor and flare of its food, I can say this — I miss my gumbo! And my jambalaya! And the king cake, for crying out loud.
If you're like me and don't get to visit home too often or won't settle for anything frozen shipped here, then I've got some eateries for you. These places are chocked full of shrimp, rice and everything nice. Here are nine places in ABQ where you can try a little of what Louisiana is best known for — their food.
I'm shaking my head at you. You really did a number on me this year.
Regardless of who we think should or shouldn't be president, we can agree on one thing — we lost some top notch people we aren't going to find again. Sure, there will be other celebrities, but these people touched our lives. They were beloved musicians who wrote songs just for us. Actresses who championed for human rights. And characters who stole our hearts.
While death may be inevitable, it's always hard to see the ones we love go. I compiled a list of 13 celebrities who inspired me (and probably you, too), and truly put a stamp on pop culture. I salute you, applaud you and above all, respect you. Thank you.
Go big or go home, right? We love our APS football teams and this year was no different. Here's a look back at five reasons why this year scored.
We finally made it through 2016.
It's been a rough one, you guys. Our favorite actors and musicians dropped left and right, that whole thing called the presidential election happened (and we're still recovering), plus the UK decided to just leave the European Union? How does that even happen? We saw the death of Fidel Castro, experienced the devastating pain of the Orlando Massacre and felt catastrophe from France to Syria.
But for one night, this NYE, let's escape reality. Let's honor the lives lost and look toward a new year.
As our dearly departed Prince would put it — "tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999."
For a lot of families, the holidays are a time of gift giving and stuffing your face. But for some, they'd prefer not to cook — or clean up after.
We've got your solution. Here are five places in ABQ (plus a special bonus option) where you can eat your heart's desire and no one has to load the dish washer.
The year has flown by, and I can't believe I'm even saying this, but we have two weeks until Christmas.
If you've already taken care of all that pesky holiday shopping (which I'm positive you have), then go ahead, kick back and enjoy the rest of your 2016 APS sports with a hot cup of cocoa. Here's a look at what matchups we have left for the year.
Minneapolis rapper P.O.S just announced he's releasing a new album titled "Chill, dummy." It'll be out January 27, 2017 (with a vinyl release on March 17) via Doomtree Records, and here are seven confirmed artists featured on the album.
